The North Entrance opens up to our Subacute Care unit, Therapy Clinic, Activities Center, and main reception area.

The NeuroCare Center North includes 39 private rooms. NeuroCare Center South residential has room for 15 clients and the Heavlin Residence is a smaller home setting on campus which includes six private bedrooms for patients.

Recreational and leisure activities can have a positive impact on a person’s quality of life. That’s why Special Tree clients participate in a wide variety of satisfying activities, held in our activities center, client rooms, or in our dining and common space, as part of their rehabilitation and recovery.

The NeuroCare Center includes a wheelchair accessible indoor pool for patients participating in aquatic therapy.

The campus grounds include two paved walking (and rolling!) trails through serene, wooded areas adjacent to a wetland marsh, gazebo, and accessible fishing pond.

Meetings with a patient, their family or guardian, case manager, and the rehabilitation team take place routinely to keep everyone aligned toward a patient’s most important recovery goals. These meetings, called Care Conferences, are usually held in one of our conference rooms on campus. Zoom or Virtual participation can be arranged for family members unable to attend in person.

Our Care Team station is the heart and hub of our subacute care unit. Our nursing and respiratory team work 24/7 to ensure continuity of care for our patients.

Our team will do our best to help you remain looking and feeling your best. Beauty and Barber appointments can be arranged along with other needed services for vision screening, dental care, and more.

The NeuroCare Center South residential program includes a dining and common space which opens to an outdoor patio and greenhouse garden in warmer months.

The Heavlin Residence provides a barrier free home setting for patients participating in our residential program. The residence includes six private rooms, spacious common areas, and is adjacent to our skilled nursing and rehabilitation clinic.

Dietary and nutrition services are very important to us. Our dietary team provides healthy, nutritious, tasty meals and can accommodate a variety of dietary and nutritional need to support medical, rehabilitation, and cultural needs.

The NeuroCare Center North dining area is not only the place for everyday meals but is a frequent gather space for activities and celebrations. It opens up to an outdoor patio as well as an inviting three-season porch.
