Special Tree has an exciting opportunity for a full time Physical Therapist to join our neuro rehabilitation team at our specialty rehabilitation campus in Romulus, Michigan.

THE ROLE:

The Physical Therapist provides appropriate assessment and therapeutic intervention to maximize the client’s physical functioning.  The Physical Therapist provides quality client care considering age-specific, developmental and cultural needs through competent practice in accordance with APTA standards of practice and code of ethics and Special Tree Rehabilitation System policies and procedures.

  • Provides fabulous everyday care, every day, to clients and other customers.

  • Provides evaluation and treatment using accepted Physical Therapy procedures, techniques, and modalities.

  • Provides client, family, and staff education and training as needed and documents appropriately.

  • Documents client evaluations, progress notes, care plans, discharge summaries, and outcomes data in accordance with existing criteria. 

  • Respects and appropriately considers age, gender, cultural background, and related factors when providing services to all internal and external customers.

  • Provides supervision for Physical Therapy Assistants, Therapy Service Technicians, student interns and volunteers.

  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading the appropriate literature and attending professional conferences.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Curriculum at an APTA recognized university or college.

  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Michigan.

  • CPR certified.

  • Valid Michigan driver’s license.

  • Must be of good moral character.

  • Monday to Friday

  • 9:00 am- 5:00 pm
